Albert and the shed
I have seen quite a few shed related books in my time, but it’s always great to see a book featuring a shed aimed at children.
Thanks to the author, Ian, for the follow-on Instagram and some info about Albert and the shed.
Looks like a great book for youngster who love animal stories and of course may start they lifelong love of Sheds, plus it’s beautifully illustrated by Eoin Clarke
Ian writes,
I’m a big fan of sheds .. I took ages to choose our new one as it had to be practical for the garden but also as a shelter for the real Albert the tortoise.

On a stormy day, Albert seeks shelter in the garden shed. Unfortunately, the door slams shut behind Albert, trapping him inside. Can his garden chums work out a way to save their tortoise friend? Wall-climbing snails, net-spinning spiders and a good deal of teamwork are needed for the mission.
All our Albert books are inspired by real Albert. He’s probably more than 80 years old and was rescued by my wife more than 50 years ago.
The SHED story is proving popular. I take the books into schools, to libraries, bookshops and festivals and do readings and talk about real Albert.
