There are Spite houses but what about Spite sheds?

After reading BoingBoing this morning, this is the first time I have heard of Spite Houses, houses built to get on neighbours nerves.

Wikipedia says.

A spite house is a building constructed or modified to irritate neighbours or other parties with land stakes. Spite houses often serve as obstructions, blocking out light or access to neighbouring buildings, or as flamboyant symbols of defiance.

This example on flickr is the nearest shed one I could find.

If you know of a shed built just to get the next door riled up then let me know.

  1. Now that is a wonderful shed! There is a history of spite buildings, some of which still survive – several folly towers were built to overlook a neighbours land or to be just a bit taller than the neighbours tower. One, Arley Tower near Bridgnorth was purposely built to block the view of a neighbour who had refused to sell his house to the Earl. You can now hire it as a holiday home from the Vivat Trust.
