Christmas sheds at Winchester Cathedral

Me and the mrs spent a couple of days in the Winchester area and the highlight was seeing 90 sheds in the shadow of the cathedral for their Christmas fayre.

Well worth a visit as they have a skating rink as well (we did not make it on there as it was raining at the time) but managed do get some great chutneys and some smelly saucisson with various fillings including figs , olives and a wild boar one.

  1. We live in the New Forest so also popped along, might have even seen you today!

Word or warning to anyone thinking about popping along, don't buy any of the scented thingys from the shed near the entrance. That nice mulled wine spicy smell vanishes the next day, I reckon they must use some of spray on them rather than soaking them. We bought some last year and were very disappointed….. otherwise a fab day out…
