A STOCKBRIDGE woman found some surprise guests in her shed last week – hundreds of wasps which had built a huge nest.
Carol Thursfield, who lives on the High Street, discovered the football-sized nest on Friday.
She said: “I don’t usually go into the shed as it’s a bit of a walk from the house, but I was only in there the day before. It’s as if it’s appeared from nowhere and it’s huge.”
so a warning to everyone, visit your shed often and check it out for investation.
In the summer there are some bumble bees that live under my workshop. I checked that they don’t nest in large quantites or do any other kind of damage so we can coexist happily.
