Buddhist shrine Shed

Isaiah Thompson found this shed on his walk to work in Philadelphia.

I heard a bell chiming and saw this shed, which has been converted into a Chinese Buddhist shrine. You can’t see it from the pic, but inside the tiny shed were candles, incense and other goodies for the Buddha.

A guy came out, and explained to me that he was observing a ritual prayer for the ancestors. I told him I thought the shed-shrine-conversion was pretty cool, and asked if it was part of a church or something.

“No,” he said, “just that.”

Have any of you sheddies got or seen any sheds used for religious purposes?

  1. Like Many people in Bristol I am a Jedhi (well the Census folks did ask). Has anyone set up a Jedhi shed yet?
