Brilliant allotment shed photos

I have gone back to Instagram after about 10 months as I was not going out and taking photos myself (due to Covid-19) hopefully looking at photos of sheds, will inspire me to take more photos again as it’s good for the soul.

Anyway in my search for shed photo inspiration by browsing every day, I found Mark Simpson an Architectural Designer who has been taking great photos not just of British architecture (some great, some shockers, a few churches with details on the architects who designed them as well) but of great sheds he finds on his allotment site, he goes by the moniker alfienoakester ( click for some great photos of other buildings and the occasional fox)

I have a 20 year old shed that is on its last legs. I’ve finally decided to buy a new potting shed which arrives soon. The rest are all just those on my allotment site. I’m pretty sure I’ve done them all now though. Some I’ve done from different angles in different seasons. This started as a little lockdown project I thought would last a couple of months. But next week I’ll hit post 365 – a whole year.

Here are a selection of my fav recent shed photos of his (i would post more If I could!)

I love how even though the sheds are in some disrepair they are still well-used and loved by their sheddies – hopefully with the weather turning – they will be getting their spring coat of something

(unfortunately Instagram won’t allow embeds unless you create a facebookapp for each user, so Mark has given me permission to post the photos.)
