As you know, voting has ended for Shed of the Year sponsored by Cuprinol Sprayable, so to drum up some support on twitter and get people interested in the shed, so I’m running a competition and giving people the chance to win some great sheddie prizes.

Shed Design Competition from Waltons – the winner will have the shed made!

That other shed blog mentioned it last night , of course Alex is the shed news man, where as I jump on the shed news late ;)

To represent what a perfect shed design is they have a picture of 2008 Shed of the Year winner Tim’s Rugby Shed – but sheddies could you design a better shed?

If you have an idea for a garden shed, write down some notes or draw some sketches detailing what makes your garden building stand out from the crowd. The lucky winner will have their garden shed made by our team at Walton’s and we’ll have it delivered to you all for free!

Walton's Premier Groundsman Dutch Barn Sheds

Walton's Premier Groundsman Dutch Barn Shed can you design better?

The garden building will need to be based around the following measurements:

* Maximum width – 1.830 meters
* Maximum length – 2.45 meters
* Maximum height – 2.5 meters

Using the following materials:

* 12mm thick pine wood cladding
* Pine wood framing
* 9mm thick ply wood
* OSB 10mm & 8mm thick
* Styrene glazing.

You will also be required to send us a 100 word introduction about your design, a list of features your shed has and a drawing or diagram depicting your design.

Entrants are required to send their ideas in the following formats: PDF, JPEG or Paper – For hand drawings
