Just Sheds Tuesday : The tree house shed

Welcome Sheddie, this blog is about sheds! You can share your shed, or view other people's sheds. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed.

There is not enough Tree house sheds on readershesds.co.uk but this is a good one, when it’s finished!

As the owner jimmy says

i did it for my kids. but still not finished after 2 years, they will probably be going to the pub by the time i finished it :-)

treehouse shed

all built from reclaimed timber from my local salvage yard.

maybe Jimmy can put up some more images and more info on the build as I’m sure other sheddies may want to build there own.

on an aside, Mrs Uncle Wilco has finally shared her shed (summerhouse) I will put up better images when the smog/rain/cold goes, of course She can’t win Shed of the year…. in fact I think she’s a bit sick of it all and we are only into Feb…

Just Sheds Tuesday : Garden Room

Not normally the sort of shed I would pick, but it’s so well done.. I just have to show potential garden room/shed builders what they could do.

Garden room owned by Mr T ( I don’t think it’s that Mr T, but would be a great celebrity sheddie if it was), ok it’s more of a extension in the garden.

It has a sauna, a wet room, a relaxation corner, lots of office space, acres of desktop real estate and is super insulated. It has lots of natural light through 4 roof lights and two bifold doors which open out onto a decked area. The desked area has an uninterrupted view of the garden from a 2.4m wide window. The floor is solid oak, the external walls are clad with wainy edged oak and the roof is covered in reclaimed rosemary clay tiles.

Just Sheds tuesday : The Shed by Kev

This one stunned me when I saw it earlier in the week,

The shed, bottom of garden Owned by Kev.

Kev's shed on readersheds.co.uk

It’s more like a shed looking house, but as you can see it was built in situ and the use of a giant shed carrying crane was not employed.

Stayed tuned for more info on how it was built and what’s inside!

It’s one of the biggest sheds and most elaborate sheds I have seen for a while, but could it win shed of the year 2008?

Just Sheds tuesday : Webbs Shed

I know it’s Monday, but its New years Eve, so may not be able to post tomorrow.!

Its looks like a bit like a cross between garage and a shed, but does have some charm..

Shed is 24ft by 12ft, has its own mini cinema/bar with 60inch big screen. Its a workshop as well and has its very own web server.

I would like to wish all the sheddie past, present and future a great new year, and remember to share your shed if you have not!

Just Sheds tuesday : bj’s club tropicana

A great take on the Hawaiian bar.

Bj’s Club Tropicana” started out as 2 10ft X 10ft sheds and ended up as a place where feiends can meet up on a friday night have a drink and still smoke.

It will celebrating it’s one year since opening on New Years eve 2007!

Clicky image for more photos of the shed.

Just Sheds Tuesday : Mini Shed

This week’s Shed is not a real one!

How dare you I hear you say, but look at it first, so much effort has gone into it, I would love one of these…. of course not for playing with dolls, but as a piece of art.

Made from Cardboard it is 13 inches tall, made for a Mini Yard of course, not much work is done in this Shed it is Mini Blokes hideaway away from Mini Sheala. Was made for a Doll Show in Queensland.

It’s the Mini Shed,Queensland Aussieland Owned by Rieckie

Just Sheds tuesday : Where the bikes and lawnmovers roam

Another of our international sheds, This unique looking one is Owned by Rutger from Winsum, which is in the Netherlands, its just great.. I hope we get more lowland sheddies sharing their sheds very soon.

It is handbuilt and will contain an outdoor kitchen. And the sloping roof is quite the architectural feat.Addtional Info: What’s in it you ask? A lawnmover, two bikes, a ladder, hay for the chickens and some more stuff.

You can leave a comment about this shed here.

FYI, this is the shed mentioned in current issue of the Shed Magazine.

Just Sheds Tuesday : The Cabana

I am a happy shedmaster, why you ask, maybe as shedmas is coming, no not that, but decking your shed with holly always gives me a warm glow.

The reason I’am not my normal grumpy self, is that we are getting more and more “foreign” sheddies putting their great sheds up on readersheds.

I know the UK is the spiritual home of the shed, and you lot still surprise me with your unique sheds, but now “joan” and “johnny” foriegner are starting to share their sheds more than ever before, and what fine ones they are.. You just have to look at the last dozen or so sheds shared.

How can I pick one for my weekly round up? it was not easy but I do like the charm of The Cabana which is in a place called Nelson in New Zealand it’s owned by Andrew and he says the following about it.

My shed was originally a potting shed alongside our courtyard. I don’t do gardening, so I converted it into an outside bar.

It now has a pop-out awning, fridge, bar, and brass bell to ring for a new round.

Internal lighting is provided by a butane powered lantern. Special fairy lighting strung around the opening gives a festive air to night-time functions.

I’am sure you would agree that using your standard (or not so standard looking shed in the case) for other uses is the ’spirit’ of being a sheddie, and of course if helps if you turn it into a bar! oh and the dog helps.
