Are you a shed Twitter?

Welcome Sheddie, this blog is about sheds, we love sheds. You can share your shed, or view other people's sheds. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed or by Email, or read our past posts, or maybe you would like to buy a shed?

No I don’t mean do you do some birdwatching from your shed.

I mean do you use the Social texting communications do dah twitter?

I use it to post the blog posts to plus to get an update on what people are adding their shed pics to the flickr group.

With the news that it’s been hacked, and it starting to hit the mainstream, I thought I would try and update my list of sheddies who tweet I only know a few of them, apart from me(follow @unclewilco)

alex (follow @shedworking)
Workshopshed (follow @Workshopshed)
Debra Prinzing (follow @dkprinzing)

if you are a sheddie who uses twitter please let me know and I will add you to my list

Are you a female shed owner?

Ruth has emailed me looking for female sheddies for a feature she is writing, can you help, ladies?

primaIf so, please get in touch! I’m writing a feature for Prima magazine about women who own sheds, and am looking for women aged 30 to 55. Whether you use yours for potting and seeding or something more unusual (exercise classes or socialising or relaxing perhaps), please get in touch.

It will involve a telephone interview and a photo shoot.

If you’d like to take part, please email me, Ruth Tierney by 15 January.

Of course any female sheddies out there, please share your shed as we are always on the look out for the girls with sheds.

10 things a sheddie must do in 2009

1051396290_c29bbfa32bOK, its time for one of those list posts that the interweb sites must have(it’s the law)

It’s really about me but cmon sheddies I am sure some of these things apply to you (or is it just me)

The main thing that comes before this list is to get more unique sheds on readersheds.co.uk for Shed week but thats a given.

  • Fix that leak in the shed (properly with planning and thought)
  • Plan Shed Week 2009 NOW and not in May 2009 (this year may make some money if I do!!)
  • Get the better half more involved in sheds and not just her shed and yes a clean shed is a good shed.
  • Eat more vegetables - and this year succeed in growing more of my own
  • Cut down on the real-ale (and maybe make my own)
  • Try and do more web work from the shed (Not just to keep up with Alex)
  • Take more photos and share them just for the sake of it (its not all about stock)
  • Smile more and mean it.
  • Enjoy more things in life, good food, friends (offline ones as well), family and get a dog and give back to them.
  • Stop doing these lists.

Do you think Shedblog needs a new look?

Well I do! and don’t have the time/effort/wossname to get it off the ground for Shed Week 2009.

so I have entered one of those interweb based competitions to win a new design..

Web Design Contest Vote

Web Design

It’s run by one of those online companies that are looking for business, so they get blog big shots like John Chow to promote their stuff.

Anyway if you think I deserve a redesign click the big button above.

Photos of the shed HQ

Was playing around with my zoom lens for my canon 400D
it’s a 55-250 IS lens and just put a copy lens hood onto it…. its an Ok lense, but I really want This one.

My boss knows the score

Still high on the shedness of shedweek, but came down to earth with a bump, when I went back to work last week.

But my boss, I think knows how I feel, he got me this mug, from the wonderful Dyffryn gardens

It says I’d rather be in my shed but is tea soaked.

Of course if you want you can BUY our Shed Mugs here
