Glamping is not all about posh bell tents – it’s very shedlike

The first ever Glamping Show will open its doors to the public on Saturday 26 September at Stoneleigh Park.

I thought it would be just posh tents – but looking at their twitter feed there are a lot of shedlike structures – which I would love to stay in (too old and grumpy to stay in a tent even if it is posh)

The Show is completely dedicated to Glamping; which is believed to be the fastest growing holiday sector worldwide, with huge potential, especially here in the UK where ‘staycations’ and short breaks are on the increase.

and some of my sheddies are making an appearance showing off their skills.

There will be a packed schedule of presentations and demonstrations throughout the day being staged by the likes of Forester Bush Craft, Woodlaw Carving and Solar Kev. Visitors will be able to learn all there is to know about Glamping and rub shoulders with the renowned TV presenter and upcycler, Max McMurdo, who will be getting creative and helping visitors to realise their dream! Max will also be judging the highly anticipated ‘Mad Max Challenge’, an upcycling challenge hosted by the RSPB where entrants will have the opportunity to design and build a bird or bug shed.
