The readersheds annual holiday is over BOO – but after a busy shed week, nearly a week was needed to relax and that place was North Norfolk – even after the five and a half drive from shed HQ in mountainous Wales.
Of course much food was eaten – Brays Pies where the stunning , and the Norfolk pork was top class plus a few local ales and a very nice Suffolk(its in the same part of England) gin from Adnams.
any holiday from the shed cannot be without it’s distractions and North Norfolk has some of the nicest beach huts in the UK.
We stayed a while in Wells next to the sea but as MRSUW said it should be called “Wells further than you think by the sea” – as you have to walk down a massive causeway to get to the sea (which was out)
but it’s a nice seaside town with one of the best Fish n Chips I have had in a long time from French’s (as recommend by Ben).
They have the beach huts on legs that you see on the many postcards you can buy in the less than tatty shops – we first saw them in the evening and I had that legs turn to jelly moment, Â just like when I walk into a great pub with at least 4 ales I have never had before.

We also stayed in Sheringham who had more traditional beach huts as well
also a pretty village of stiffkey was on our route many a time – so had to stop to take a photo of their cafe shed –Â that they use for taking tea in and the village TARDIS (everyone should have one)
anyway I will be going back to Norfolk again as it was lovely – but it needs more mountains.
