I am very pleased to announce that Sheddies favourite and TV property expert (amongst many other things) Sarah Beeny has agreed once more to be a judge for Shed of the year 2012.

What Sarah says about the competition

Sarah Beeny - Shed of the year judge

Every year shed owners show us that their enthusiasm for a unique building at the bottom of the garden is not abating – especially the lady sheddies who are again showing the men how to do it and are creating wonderful spaces that anyone would love to relax or even work in.

Well done to them all and I look forward to seeing what they can do in the 2012 Shed of the Year competition.

This will be the Sixth Year that the Beeny has agreed to take part – she has supported our campaign to get the sheddies of Britain recognised and first joined the shed team back in the heady days of 2007 when I first started the competition.

So I hope you all welcome Sarah as a judge.

Since then we have seen a massive jump in sheddies doing up their sheds and showing them off – from Pub Sheds & TARDIS sheds to the Eco sheds, the more traditional Workshops and Summerhouses & Cabins and of course the garden offices and finally the category that seems to sum up you sheddies – Unique sheds.

And now is a great time with this so called warm weather in the UK – to get out to the garden and pimp up your shed and share it over at readersheds.co.uk

There will be more announcements over the coming months in terms of a main sponsor who will provide a cash prize for the ultimate shed of the year which of course will be held during Shed Week in July 2012.

SO can any sheddie comepete with last years Winner Jon and his
