It’s amazing what a sheddie will do to get votes for his shed for Shed of the year 2011

This years competition has proven a most socially sharing web2.0 shedsky thinking year – with sheddies using the power of social media to get votes for their sheds.

of course when we started readersheds.co.uk in 2001 – it was the original social network – ok with sheds being the thing 😉

This year we have seen facebook and twitter campaigns from all sides – but one sheddie George Blackwell has created some great videos on that youtube promoting his shed – The George and the Dragon

The theme from classic TV show Cheers uniquely sung by George himself- which sums up his love for his pub shed and the friends that visit.

also a ditty to the tune of Puff the Magic Dragon – which I think shows that sometimes too much homebrew in the shed has an odd effect on a sheddie

He’s also got himself in his local paper –

of course Last years winner Reg Miller is a dab hand at this promotion – it shows that quirky helps!

Well done sheddies
