O-Pod – an eco shed or odd shedworking office, you decide?
The O-Pod was shared on readersheds the other day.
I like the look of it even though its the the realm of the other shed based blog.
Eco sheds are a great thing to have and they give inspiration to other sheddies to turn their sheds a bit green.
anyway I emailed the sheddie to get some more info and of course it’s a commercial product
, they can enter if for shed of the year, but just to let you know when you vote.. next year
The O-Pod is a circular garden room. Fully insulated it is a multifunctional all season garden pod for use as an office, art studio, spare bedroom, relaxation room.. etc! The are fully equipped with electricity sockets/telephone ports/double glazing as requested.
We build 12 standard sizes (and we make bespoke to individual requirements) of both the quirky circular rooms and the contemporary rectangular space-pods.The O-Pod is designed to sit on concrete slabs or pads which we will install in your garden once you have ensured that your ground is sufficiently level and firm.
The main frame of the O-Pod is constructed of both box steel and FSC timber for maximum strength and stability. Then packed with 170mm recycled glass wool insulation (or Thermafleece sheeps wool insulation if required).
The interior finish is comprised of plasterboard with a plaster skim – the space-pod range (rectangular) structures are built entirely with FSC timber.
but Iam sure some sheddies can make their own unique eco sheds… and Share them for Shed of the year 2011
