    Although the sparks from a grinder are not individually that hot, if there enough of them on a confined area it will set things on fire. Be aware that standard overalls have a high polyester count so you need to get ones marked as flame retardant or welder's overalls. You can also buy a leather apron quite cheaply, like a blacksmith might wear.
