Tony “Roman Temple Shed” Shed of the year Winner has a new shed

I has an email from Tony the winner of the first Shed of the Year, saying he’s got a new shed! I thought blimey what’s he done this time!

The new shed is another Roman Temple but this one is one-thirtieth full size and it’s built of Lego. There’s even a one-thirtieth version of me standing in front of it.

My son is an architect who found the Roman columns for the front of my full size Roman Temple. They all clubbed together and bought them for me for Christmas. This time he’s designed a model from the Lego Digital Designer web site. You have to specify all the parts and brick colours and you can then buy it as a kit complete with full parts list and illustrated instruction sheets. http://ldd.lego.com/

The new shed has all the details of the original, Roman columns, plaque above the door, green door with black hinges and even a flaming torch in the front. It’s probably not the smallest shed in the world as I suspect someone has a smaller one on their model railway layout.

PS. In company with many of our MPs, my wife says I’ve “flipped” and should designate the shed as my “second home”.

Best Wishes
