Beach hut arson – not us
We covered the story
The EADT has a follow up and court news on the crime.
THREE teenagers appeared in court yesterday accused of setting fire to and destroying 19 beach huts in Frinton.
Several huts were allegedly targeted on July 2 last year with the flames spreading to many more.
In total, £90,000 worth of damage was caused to about 30 properties and police released CCTV footage of a number of youths they wished to contact in relation to the fires.
The trio pleaded not guilty to each of the 19 counts of arson they face and were told to return to the court in February when their trial will begin.
They were released on bail with a condition attached that they must not step foot on Frinton foreshore or green.
