Arsonists destroy 30 beach huts

A shocking story on this National Shed Week.

DEVASTATED beach hut owners in Frinton are assessing the wreckage after arsonists destroyed more than 30 huts and left many more damaged.

The fires were started in the early hours of yesterday morning – and further damage was only avoided after a milkman spotted the flames while on his rounds at 4.20am.
One lucky owner was John Bruce, whose hut escaped damage because of the direction of the wind.

His hut, which he has owned for seven years, sits next to a row of eight which were reduced to ashes.
