One of the most expensive beach huts in the country has sold for almost £250,000, an estate agent said today.
Chalet number 4, on Beach Road, in West Bexington, Dorset, boasts stunning sea views along the Jurassic coastline.
The felt-roof hut has a sitting room measuring 2.85m x 2.59m, a 1.3m x 4.11m kitchen, toilet and one bedroom measuring 2.87m x 2.62m.
It has running water, drainage and mains electricity, a garden, the potential for off-site parking and can be lived in all year round.
The new owner, a local man, won a heated five-way auction held in Sherborne, Dorset, to snap up the hut for £235,000, on December 6.
It is thought to be the most expensive property of its type to sell in Dorset.
